Kenneth YAN, CFA

Principal

Mr. Yan has 15 years investment experience across the asset management sector, including in investment research, hedge funds and private equity.  At HAO Capital, he is typically involved in each phase of the investment process, from sector research, external network development, deal sourcing and structuring, deal term negotiations, due diligence execution and portfolio management.

Prior to joining HAO Capital in 2006, Mr. Yan was an investment manager at the Hong Kong office of a global multi-strategy hedge fund with over US$2 billion assets under management.  He also worked for CICC as a research analyst. In these capacities, Mr. Yan led research and investments in overseas listed Chinese companies through a variety of investment structures.

Mr. Yan obtained his B.A. in Accounting from Tsinghua University in 2004 and completed the executive training program at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2014.

Hank SONG

Vice President

Mr. Song has 15 years experience in healthcare and finance. Prior to joining HAO Capital in 2015, he was a financial analyst in the equity investment department of Taikang Asset Management. He also worked for GE Healthcare and Philips Healthcare as a senior systems engineer in the R&D department, where he was responsible for the introduction of new medical equipment (BrightSpeed Series CT), localization and R&D.

Mr. Song obtained his M.Sc. in Engineering and Management from MIT in 2012.

Anthony  Hopson

Head of Investor Relations & Capital Markets

Mr. Hopson has more than 20 years’ experience in private equity and equity capital markets roles within both investment banks and independent ECM advisors. Prior to joining HAO Capital in 2013, he was Head of Equity Capital Markets for Guosen Securities, the leading Chinese investment bank, in Hong Kong. He has extensive experience working on initial public offerings, secondary offerings, convertible offerings and private capital markets transactions.

Mr. Hopson has also worked at Samsung Securities (Hong Kong), STJ Advisors (Hong Kong), Nomura (Hong Kong and London) and Citi (London), gaining exposure to a wide variety of transactions globally. Landmark deals include the US$3.53 billion IPO of Lotte Shopping, the largest consumer retail IPO at the time.

Sidney TSANG

CFO

Mr. Tsang has twenty years of practical experience in the fields of accounting and finance, covering issues such as financial controls, budgeting, taxation and financial reporting. Mr. Tsang previously worked for Empire Group in Hong Kong as finance and administration manager and Kambrook Australia and Malaysia Electric Corporation as head of the Accounts and Finance Department of their Hong Kong offices. He also worked for TWC Corporate Services, a financial services firm based in Hong Kong providing accounting, financial and consulting services.

Mr. Tsang has been a Fellow of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (“FCCA”) since 2001, an Associate Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“CPA”) since 1997, and an Associate Member of the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong (“CTA”) since 2010.
