CEO and Founder
Mr. Eckersley has worked for more than 30 years in financial services and private equity in the USA, Europe and Asia.
Prior to co-founding HAO Capital in 2006, he spent 8 years at Goldman Sachs and was an Executive Director in the Investment Management Division. Mr. Eckersley also spent 3 years as an investment professional at Charterhouse Development Capital, working on UK and European leveraged management buyouts. He also worked for Morgan Grenfell's project finance group within the merchant bank.
Mr. Eckersley is a Barrister-at-Law, holds an LL.B. from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Diplôme d'Etudes Juridiques from L'Université de Strasbourg. Mr. Eckersley also holds an MBA from The Tuck School at Dartmouth College in the USA and is a member of the Tuck Asian Advisory Board. He is also a member of YPO Beijing.
Partner and Founder
Ms. Wong has over 20 years of private equity experience in the US and Asia, and is the primary board representative from HAO Capital to its portfolio companies. She is actively involved in strategy formulation and implementation, business development, and capital market transactions.
Prior to co-founding HAO Capital in 2006, Ms. Wong was a member of the Carlyle Group US Venture Partners and the Carlyle Group Asia Growth Equity partnership. She was also a Consultant with Arthur D. Little.
Ms. Wong graduated from MIT with a degree in Chemical Engineering, and has an MBA from Stanford University.
Ms. Wong is an active member of her community. As President of the MIT Club of Beijing, Ms. Wong received the Great Dome Award in 2012 from the MIT Alumni Association.
Mr. Zhang has 18 years’ experience in the financial services industry, including private equity and auditing.
Prior to joining HAO Capital in 2008, Mr. Zhang worked at PwC for 7 years in Beijing and led or participated in the audit of a broad range of industries in China, including oil & gas, chemicals, insurance, telecom and consumer goods. He has worked on several IPOs, de-listings and acquisitions in China, HK and the USA.
After joining HAO Capital, Mr. Zhang has led several fund investments in different industries, including healthcare, pharmaceuticals and chemicals, where he was involved across the whole investment life-cycle; from deal sourcing and structuring, deal term negotiation, arrangement of financing, legal and financial due diligence, to post-investment monitoring and exit.
Mr. Zhang obtained his B.A. in Accounting from Peking University in 2001.
